Communicative English

Excellent communication skills in English have become critical to success in life. Since English is the language of international business, one's ability to communicate well in English often makes the difference between success and failure. For the many expatriates from non-English speaking countries, daily chores that involve interacting with locals become onerous because they lack English language skills.

The Institute offers a five-module course in Communicative English at the basic (1), intermediate (2) and upper intermediate (2) levels.

The courses are highly interactive with plenty of opportunity to practice all four language skills to enable students to communicate comfortably and confidently in English. Our aim is to help students to

    Acquire proficiency in all key language skills - listening, reading and comprehension, speaking and writing
    Be able to converse fluently in the language
    Improve vocabulary and pronunciation
    Write clearly and effectively, and
    Gain confidence and improve their personality

Students are provided with study material that includes books and audio CDs.

We admit only students who have completed at least their higher secondary studies. All students are expected to take a test to determine their current proficiency level. This helps us tailor the course to meet the student's needs.

The Institute of Business Communication and Languages

The Institute of Business Communication and Languages:- (IBCL) specializes in imparting language skills, a basic requirement to develop the communication skills critical for professional success. At present, we offer courses in Communicative English and Hindi. While the English course is open to both expatriates from non-English speaking countries and Indian students, the course in Hindi is specifically for expatriates.We use a variety of innovative teaching methods to ensure student participation and feedback and enable students to use language effectively outside the classroom through extensive interaction in the language they seek to learn. Our courses focus on all four language skills – speaking, listening, writing and reading and comprehension. Besides, we offer courses in Business Communication and Writing, geared primarily to the needs of corporate clients and institutions.

Students wishing to enroll for the courses are required to register with the Institute. They are also required to take an evaluation test, which helps us assess their existing knowledge of a language so that we can place them at the appropriate level.
